Digital Voice Launches Emergency Voice for SME's

Digital Voice IP Limited announced today the launch of its new DR Telecommunications service. Called Emergency Voice, the new service offers disaster recovery telecommunications and temporary phone systems to companies who experience severe disruption to business operations and communications due to natural disasters and loss of access to their office premises.

Based on their successful Digital Voice VoIP Business platform, Emergency Voice represents the latest innovation in VoIP Technology and offers their customers a level of efficiency, support and reliability in deploying a function rich business phone system not seen in traditional DR telecoms solutions.

James Goodman, CEO of Digital Voice commented “With Emergency Voice we are expanding our already successful suite of Business VoIP products and in light of disruptions caused by the recent flooding in North East England the timing for this service could not be more relevant”

James went on to say “Big business has the budget for expensive and elaborate disaster recovery sites but smaller businesses who rely on uninterrupted communications with their customers and suppliers find it more difficult to justify the high costs of disaster recovery and many choose not to invest in these systems at their on peril. What we offer is a cost effective, temporary means to get them talking to their customers again.”

The Emergency Voice system covers two disaster recovery scenarios, immediate transfer to a business answering service for receptionist, sales and status information followed by the deployment of a fully integrated Hosted Business VoIP system with unlimited external numbers, 0845 and 0870 numbers, transfer and teleconferencing and remote Teleworking functionality.

The unique characteristic of their service is the fact that Emergency Voice is a fully Hosted VoIP platform giving companies an entire office phone system that does not have to be centrally located in order for staff to keep lines open. The system works independently of PC's and laptops as it includes its own stand alone function rich IP handsets. James commented on Emergency Voice “Your staff can come to the phones or stay at home and the phones can go to them.

For new or rapidly expanding businesses anxious to reduce costs and improve business processes VoIP is a serious contender and Digital Voice offers packages that include free local and national calls, low cost international and mobile calls, free line rental and a 50% saving on broadband – some packages offer free broadband.

Local Taxi Firm Hails New Phone Technology
Berridges, the Oakham based taxi firm, is experiencing a 25% increase in incoming calls after upgrading its phone system to VoIP (Voice Over internet Protocol).

The family owned business has been trading since 1979 and was recently contacted by BT and informed that their phone system was about to become obsolete. Owner, Craig Berridge, was determined to use this as a reason to invest in his firm’s future. Craig commented, “Our phone system is our life blood, handling an average of 3,000 calls a month. If I was being forced to change the system I wanted to ensure that I was making an investment in the very latest technology. I had used Skype in the past so was aware of internet calling but didn’t realise that it had moved on so much and was now set up for serious business use. Following a newspaper feature I contacted James Goodman of Digital Voice (www.digitalvoice.co.uk), a local VoIP provider.

Prior to meeting James I did have some reservations about voice quality having had direct experience of VoIP where callers sounded as if they were phoning from Outer Mongolia. For a business like ours voice quality is paramount”.

Within a week of Craig’s initial meeting with James, a phone system was installed into the Berridges office. Having used the system for twelve weeks I asked Craig whether he had seen any benefits, “My desk used to have five phones on it and now I have two handsets and a head set. The system is fantastic and as well as huge savings on calls, the voice quality is excellent. I like the portability and ease of use - even my three year old daughter can use it!

One of the main problems with our old system was that callers could not be held in a queue. Now they can, and this is the reason behind the 25% increase in incoming calls.”

Craig went on to explain his future plans to expand geographically but maintain an Oakham hub, “VoIP is the ideal technology to support this growth, both from a cost perspective – free inter company calls and no capital expenditure, and because of the flexibility it offers. I would recommend VoIP to anyone”.

For new or rapidly expanding businesses anxious to reduce costs and improve their business processes Digital Voice IP is a serious contender offering packages that include free local and national calls, low cost international and mobile calls, free line rental and a 50% saving on broadband – some packages offer free broadband.

New East Midlands Internet Phone Company Explains Why Talk Is Cheap
Digital Voice IP Ltd (www.digitalvoice.co.uk) is a new East Midlands based Internet Phone Company at the forefront of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, prepared to challenge BT and offer local businesses an alternative and inexpensive telephony option.

Managing Director, James Goodman explains: “VoIP is a revolutionary advance in telecommunications - it’s as simple as that. It allows you to place a free call over the internet, bypassing the call charges imposed by telephone companies. Put simply, VoIP sends calls over the internet and is gearing up to be the next big thing in IT. By 2010 it is estimated that 75 per cent of businesses will have adopted VoIP technology.

Cost savings are the primary attraction for VoIP, but multi-location businesses and businesses with distributed employees have the most to gain from free inter-company calls and low cost calls to mobiles.

The other benefit that VoIP provides is a platform on which companies can add powerful new applications that enhance workflow, increase productivity and improve customer service. In addition, and to ensure that we offer the best possible voice quality available we have partnered with a major British telecommunications company and VoIP market leader, Mitel”

James was keen to explain what is unique about Digital Voice IP, “The convergence of technology means that a ‘do it yourself’ approach is not a viable option to manage the complexities. The market has been crying out for a single supplier and the beauty of Digital Voice is that it is just that, offering a turnkey solution that takes the stress out of the customers’ hands.”

Services provided by Digital Voice IP incorporate, transfer of phone and rental, free hardware, external hosting and full support and maintenance.

For new or rapidly expanding businesses anxious to reduce costs and improve their business processes Digital Voice IP is a serious contender offering packages that include free local and national calls, low cost international and mobile calls, free line rental and a 50% saving on broadband – some packages offer free broadband.
